Ben was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Trucking Association in January 2017. Ben brings fresh eyes, an entrepreneurial spirit and a great passion for the livelihoods and heritage of regional and rural Australia to the peak trucking industry body.

A truck driver at heart, Ben has been behind the wheel of heavy vehicle for over 34 years clocking more than a 1 million kilometres.

As CEO, Ben has travelled the country meeting industry representatives, operators, regulators, police, politicians and regulators.  He has begun the transformation of the respected association by bringing behavioural change thinking to the ongoing safety campaigning, new partners on board with new tangible industry initiatives.

Ben gained his corporate experience with AGL Energy before taking up the reins as CEO of the Stockman’s Hall of Fame in Longreach.

A long time business owner and operator, Ben also remains an active Board member of the Museum of Australia and has a Degree in Business Administration.

He lives with his family on a property outside of Yass where they trade cattle, and also host horsemanship programs for returned service men and women on a voluntary basis.
