Dr Tom is an Emergency Department Dr with 30 years’ experience in the front line.

5 years ago, he swapped his scrubs for a retro Chevy ambulance and hit the road trying to catch those who are too busy to get to a doctor, but ultimately need one, or an undertaker.

With so much money being spent on making sure trucks are safe when they cause only 10% of crashes (he doesn’t like to call them accidents) who is looking after the people driving them?

As the ambulance at the top of the cliff he has identified thousands of people with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep apnoea, depression, anxiety and stress.

By hitting the road, he has prevented the road hitting those at work and in isolated communities.
