Increasing the trucking industry’s productivity would benefit Australian consumers and businesses. Better access for higher productivity trucks would lower freight costs and create jobs, but independent research shows the industry’s productivity is going backwards.

As part of the Heavy Vehicle National Law review, the National Transport Commission is looking at options for improving truck access. The Productivity Commission is preparing its own report for the Australian Government.

Be in the Glasshouse Theatre at 2.00pm to check out the ideas on the table for increasing productivity – and share your insights.
